About Us

Meet founders, Jan Craige Singer and Sarah White.

Jan likes funky earrings, flipped-up collars, and wouldn’t be caught dead reading an ebook. Must be her English major roots! Sarah never met a scarf she didn’t like and they all go with her once brunette, now blonde (eh-hem gray) hair that she colors herself. No task is too big or too small for Sarah. She could teach MacGyver a thing or two! Truth is what’s really going on behind those smiling faces has more to do with two driven business women who founded and ran their own successful companies for decades than their hair and accessories. They are real women who have been there, done that—and have the scars to prove it! Two big scars on one right breast, one blind eye, two frozen shoulders, and soooo much more. Between them they’ve had three husbands, 4 kids, 2 dogs, and over 50 years of experience being daughters, sisters, wives, mothers, and business executives. They’re good and hearty Maine girls (now living outside of Boston) who know how to roll up their sleeves and get shit done. And that is just what they’re doing with Konenkii. For their second act they invite you to come along for the ride!

A little bit about our mission here at Konenkii...

Aging can be a scary notion. We want to change that attitude. Let’s face the aging process fearlessly and, of course, have some fun along the way.

Women all along the spectrum of age and life have inspired us. From our moms to our daughters to each other. There is both a freedom and a weight that comes with having your kids grow up, or having a parent need you in a new way, or needing to move on in one’s career. The way we as modern women face these changes and the way we share our experiences and keep our sense of humor is truly inspiring!

That’s why we’re starting with a quarterly gift subscription box service. We want you to treat yourself or a friend. Each gift is carefully chosen to help EASE, EDUCATE, and EMPOWER us through these changes. Each gift has a reason for being in the box and just like Clarissa-there is a legend that explains it all.
